Good local businesses were being priced out of a decent website.
Spend any time looking at local trades in San Diego and a pattern shows up quickly. Plenty of them have no website at all. Plenty more have one that broke, expired or has not been touched since it launched.
It is rarely because the owner does not care. It is because the traditional arrangement asks for several thousand dollars before anything exists, and then charges again every time a price changes. For a two van plumbing business that maths does not work, so the website never happens or slowly dies.
SD Websites was built to remove both problems. Nothing to pay up front, and no charge to keep it current. We would rather be paid a small amount every month for as long as the site is useful to you.

- A website is a working tool. It exists to get you inquiries, not awards.
- Plain language wins. Customers search for drain unblocking, not for holistic water management solutions.
- Phones come first. If it does not work in one hand on a building site, it does not work.
- Current beats clever. An ordinary site with the right prices beats a beautiful one with last year's.
- No lock in. If we are not earning the monthly fee you should be free to leave.

Local by choice
We work with San Diego County businesses because knowing the area matters. Knowing that Poway, Chula Vista and La Jolla are different markets changes how a site gets built.
Small on purpose
You deal with the people building your site. There is no account manager relaying messages to a team you never meet.
Straight answers
If something will not help your business we will say so. If a request is outside your plan we will tell you the figure before we start rather than after.
Built to be kept
We do not hand over a site and disappear. Maintenance is the product as much as the build is.
Your property
Your domain, your content and your photographs stay yours. Leaving is inconvenient for us and it should never be difficult for you.

We will not promise a position on a search results page. We will tell you what we control and do that part properly.
